 CISM Certification Boot Camp
Superior Solutions offers an accelerated 3-Day Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Boot Camp that is specifically provided for the experienced information security manager and for those individuals who have information security management responsibilities, such as managing, designing, overseeing and/or assessing an enterprise’s information security. The CISM certification promotes international practices but, most importantly, individuals who have earned their CISM designation have the required experience and knowledge to provide effective security management and consulting services, which upper management finds most reassuring.
CISM Class Benefits Our CISM 3 day accelerated security boot camp has the goal to provide the best education and training in preparing the information security manager and other individuals for their CISM certification. Our CISM course material is up-to-date and corresponds with the latest ISACA® standards. Our CISM boot camp provides thorough instructor led training to ensure the information security managers and other individuals will receive excellent instruction and training on meeting every learning need through offering hands-on exercises, one-on-one instruction, individual student study, intense group instruction, interactive study among students, and question/answer drills. CISM Course Outline At our CISM Boot Camp our CISM instructors will not only address topics on becoming a CISM certified professional, but provide in-depth training on the concepts that coincide with each of the five domains of the CISM. A list of the domains and concepts is as follows: 1. Information Security Governance – How to establish and maintain a security framework to assure that information security strategies correlate with business goals and objectives and adhere to applicable laws and regulations; develop business cases justifying investment in information security; and define roles and responsibilities for information security throughout the organization. 2. Information Risk Management – How to identify and manage information security risks to accomplish business objectives; implement a systematic and structured information risk assessment process; and identify and periodically evaluate information security controls and countermeasures to mitigate risks to acceptable levels. 3. Information Security Program Development – How to create and maintain a program to implement the information security strategy; ensure alignment between the information security program and other assurance functions (such as physical quality, IT; and design); and develop a program for information security awareness, training and education. 4. Information Security Program Management – How to oversee and direct information security activities to execute the information security program; ensure that processes and procedures are performed in compliance with the organization’s information security policies and standards; and monitor and measure, test and report on the effectiveness and efficiency of information security controls and compliance with information security policies. 5. Incident Management and Response – How to plan, develop and manage a capability to detect, respond to and recover from information security incidents; develop plans to respond to and document information security incidents; integrate information security incident response plans with the organization’s disaster recovery plan (DRP) and business; and organize, train and equip teams to respond to information security incidents.
